So much of the practice of law involves decision-making, and convincing others to make better decisions based upon fact rather than emotion. This course is intended to guide attendees to appreciate how they involuntarily make decisions and guide them to recognize and prevent bias, and to know how to effectively communicate with people whose bias affects others.
Claude E. Ducloux is a highly accomplished attorney with over 45 years of experience in Texas, and also licensed in California and Colorado. A recipient of the prestigious Gene Cavin Award for lifetime contributions to Continuing Legal Education, he has delivered over 800 acclaimed presentations nationwide since 2010. Board-certified in Civil Trial Law and Civil Appellate Law, Claude has held leadership roles in numerous bar associations, including serving as President of the Austin Bar and Chair of the Texas Center for Legal Ethics. Currently, he is the National Director of Education, Ethics, and State Compliance for LawPay, with a career marked by awards for his writing, pro bono service, and contributions to law in the field of litigation and legal ethics.
