About the Program

How does mediation on Zoom work? When will we go back to normal? This panel will explore the opportunities and challenges of virtual mediations, including recommended equipment/software, technical issues, preparing clients, establishing protocols, structure of meetings, potential practical and logistical problems, maintaining separation of parties and privacy, communications outside meetings, sharing documents, and finalizing settlement agreements. The panel will also discuss essential ingredients for a successful mediation and how virtual technology may impact cognitive biases and settlement outcomes.
