Karen Green Rosin is an attorney by profession but a mediator by nature, who enjoys helping clients enunciate their needs and resolve disputes cooperatively. A family law attorney-mediator who has been mediating litigated cases and family law matters for over ten years, she served on the Los Angeles Superior Court mediation panel for five years, and currently serves as a volunteer Daily Settlement Officer in the Family Law Departments in the Stanley Mosk and Compton Courthouses.
After attending UCLA School of Law, Karen practiced Entertainment Law at Loeb & Loeb until she had her first child in 1985. While raising three kids with her husband, she took a break from active practice and returned to her roots as writer, most notably on the original “Beverly Hills, 90210”. (She is a proud card-carrying member of the Writers Guild of America and the Screen Actors Guild.)
Introduced to Family Law as a volunteer attorney for the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law, Karen has been an avid supporter of HBCFL since 2000 and continues to handle pro bono cases for its clients.
Karen resumed practicing law on a full time basis in 2008, becoming Of Counsel to The Law Offices of Douglas A. Bagby. Since 2013 she has been a sole practitioner and expanded her mediation practice to approximately 75% percent of her caseload.
Karen currently administers an advanced study group for mediators hosted by Forrest Mosten. This Mediation Study Club started in 2005, with Karen as its administrator since 2012.
Karen has served as a member of the Southern California Mediation Association Ad Hoc Committee on Voluntary Mediator Certification, the Consensual Dispute Resolution Section of the Family Law Section of the California State Bar, and numerous other mediation and collaborative practice groups.
