The Beverly Hills Bar Association (BHBA) condemns the recent rise of antisemitic violence across the country and locally here in southern California

Last week’s violent attack on diners at a restaurant in Los Angeles highlights the very troubling fact that in California, antisemitic incidents have increased 40% in the past five years. We know many of our members and neighbors do not feel safe. BHBA stands firmly against all forms of hate and discrimination.

BHBA was started primarily by Jewish lawyers who were not allowed to join the county-wide bar association at that time. Our founders wanted to provide a professional space for all lawyers in the LA region, and we have retained a strong commitment to civil rights and against bigotry in every form. We believe the religious, racial, and ethnic diversity of our country is a great strength and as officers of the courts we will always defend the right of everyone to be treated with dignity and respect.
