About/Bio

Richard Kaplan is a partner at Kaplan Marino in Los Angeles. He has been a private Criminal Defense Attorney since he graduated Pepperdine University School of Law in 1987. He has tried cases in State and Federal Court. He handles complex white-collar maters and as well as traditional criminal cases for white collar clients and their families.

Mr. Kaplan is a Past President of the Beverly Hill Bar Association. He has served on the Executive Council of the National Conference of Bar Presidents and has Chaired their Communications Committee and the Metropolitan Bar Caucus. Mr. Kaplan is a frequent speaker on criminal law and related topics. Mr. Kaplan has spoken at the State Bar of California Annual Meeting, the Section Education Institute, and the ABA White Collar Crime Conference.
Mr. Kaplan has been voted by his peers as a Southern California Super Lawyer since 2006.
