Derek is a CPA and principal consultant at Barto Consulting LLP, advising law firms on improving financial performance and strategy. With expertise in finance and accounting, he helps firms manage key areas like partner compensation, risk reduction, and compliance. Derek also assists in improving finance functions, systems, and processes. Before founding Barto Consulting, he was a partner at Armanino, LLP, where he led outsourced finance services for law firms. He has a bachelor’s and master’s in accountancy from Wake Forest University and a master’s in law firm management from George Washington University.
