About/Bio

Alexa Hiley is a Jury Consultant at IMS who assists top litigators by providing insight into how juror attitudes, opinions, and beliefs affect case outcomes, bringing a research-driven perspective shaped by her doctoral work in experimental psychology and law at CUNY Graduate Center. Her research interests include attorney decision-making, racial bias in juror credibility assessments, and confirmation bias in expert testimony — work recognized by the National Science Foundation’s Research Improvement Grant and published in journals such as Law and Human Behavior and The Journal of Forensic Sciences. Alexa holds a BA from Bates College and an MA in psychology from CUNY GC, and has built her consulting expertise through experience in state and federal criminal cases, prior work with a California-based litigation consulting firm, and a research role at the BIDMC Transplant Institute.
