Jeffery S. Jacobson, CFLS, is a highly respected family law attorney whose practice is devoted exclusively to consensual dispute resolution, including mediation, collaborative divorce, and non-litigation consulting. Certified as a Specialist in Family Law by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization, Jeffrey has spent nearly three decades helping families resolve complex legal issues without resorting to court. His leadership in the field has earned him recognition as a Los Angeles Magazine Super Lawyer from 2011 through 2023, as well as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2005 to 2010. In 2019, he received the Eureka Award from Collaborative Practice California in recognition of his significant contributions to collaborative divorce, including co-authoring Los Angeles County Local Rule 5.26, the most comprehensive collaborative practice rule in the state.
Prior to founding Jacobson Family Law and Mediation, Jeffrey was a partner at Jacobson Scully, LLP, and he currently serves as of counsel to Shebby Hirashima LLP in West Los Angeles. Earlier in his career, he served as Executive Director of Levitt & Quinn Family Law Center, a nonprofit providing family law services to low-income individuals, and began his practice at the renowned mediation-focused firm of Mosten & Tuffias. Deeply engaged in professional leadership and education, Jeffrey is the immediate past president of the Los Angeles Collaborative Family Law Association, a past chair of the Beverly Hills Bar Association Family Law Section, and a current board member of Levitt & Quinn. A frequent lecturer and panelist, he has presented on family law, mediation, and collaborative practice for leading bar associations, law schools, and professional organizations throughout California. Jeffrey graduated with highest honors from the University of California, Berkeley, and earned his J.D. from UCLA School of Law.

Jennifer Winestone is the founder of Winestone Mediation,PC, where she focuses on helping families resolve complex separation, divorce, and child custody disputes. Having lived and practiced law for the first half of her career in Canada before relocating to Southern California, Jennifer brings a perspective that is both distinctive and deeply practical. Her professional life sharpened her problem-solving skills and reinforced her belief that even the most entrenched conflicts can be navigated with creativity, patience, and empathy.
Jennifer earned her LL.M. in Dispute Resolution from the renowned Straus Institute at Pepperdine University School of Law, following her J.D. from the University of Ottawa and her undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario. She is certified in Collaborative Family Law and New Ways for Families and is admitted to the California State Bar, with prior admission to the Law Society of Upper Canada. A highly engaged leader in the dispute resolution community, Jennifer has served on the executive committee of the Beverly Hills Bar Association’s Mediation Section, sat on the board of the Los Angeles Collaborative Family Law Association, and acted as a Dispute Settlement Officer for the Los Angeles Superior Court. Her work has been recognized with multiple honors, including as recipient of the 2025 Eureka Award from Collaborative Practice California. Jennifer teaches the Divorce and Family Mediation course at USC Law School. She also recently partnered with colleague Jeffery Jacobson and Sen. Ben Allen on drafting the legislation for Senate Bill 1427, which created a new joint petition process in California family law procedure.
