This program’s speakers are Bryan Mashian, an attorney with decades of transactional experience and Chair of the AIR’s Contracts Committee which authors and updates AIR’s popular leases and purchase and sale contracts, and Randy Matusoff, a commercial real estate broker who has achieved both the CCIM and the SIOR designations, affiliates of the National Association of Realtors (NAR). The attendees will learn how to use the correct AIR lease for a particular transaction, avoid most common misunderstandings about AIR leases and modify AIR leases as may be desirable for a particular transaction.

Represented institutional, middle-sized and entrepreneurial clients in various office, retail and industrial real estate transactions, such as landlords and tenants in leasing and subleasing of commercial properties; buyer and sellers in purchasing and selling real estate; borrowers in originating new financing and restructuring of existing loans; exchangers in trading single and multiple properties; developers in negotiating contracts with architects and engineers; and property owners in documenting easements and Reciprocal Easement Agreements.
Randy Matusoff is a commercial real estate broker in the South Bay office of NAI Capital. For over 30 years, Randy has represented tenants, landlords, buyers and sellers in various types of commercial real estate transactions and consulting services including REO sales, trust sales, land sales, and lease and sublease negotiations.
Mr. Hummer helps with the sale, leasing, and development of commercial and residential real estate and with disputes over real estate, construction, business organizations, contracts, and unfair competition. He has tried cases involving purchase contracts, construction contracts, quiet title to real estate, commercial landlord-tenant disputes, and commercial collections. He has resolved many real estate boundary, easement, and encroachment disputes for businesses and homeowners. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the LACBA’s Real Property Section. Mr. Hummer co-authored and regularly updates Chapter 8, Boundary Easements and Neighboring Property Rights in the treatise California Easements and Boundaries: Law and Litigation, published by Continuing Education of the Bar California.
