This presentation will address US legal and tax considerations for foreign persons acquiring US real property investments in the United States. We will discuss typical ownership structures that trigger inadvertent US income, estate and gift tax issues, as well as typical US income and estate planning techniques commonly utilized for US persons which may result in adverse foreign country tax consequences for investors from Canada, Australia, HK and China.
