Not only is it sour, but owning a defective or malfunctioning car can also be a nightmare. Fortunately, you don’t have to be stuck with a lemon. There are state and federal laws that protect consumers from irresponsible or deceptive manufacturers.
This program is a lemon law case study, covering not only the basics of lemon law, but lemon law with a twist of federal statutes and new case law. Our panelists will explore the basics of the Song-Beverly Act, show how the Rodriguez v. FCA case affected their case, and discuss how they adapted by using the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act to ultimately prevail in a jury trial.
Yasha Ahoubim is a founding partner of Westside Law Group. Yasha’s main areas of practice involves handling lemon law and personal injury claims such as vehicle accidents, bicycle and motorcycle accidents, Uber/Lyft accidents, slip and fall accidents, wrongful death, and premises liability.
Natan Davoodi is an attorney focusing his practice exclusively on consumer protection – specially THE LEMON LAW. He is an automotive buff, racer, driver, and has been involved with building cars since he was 4 years old. His first project car was working on a 1988 BMW 318i with his Dad (A”H). He’s also rebuilt engines, transmissions, differentials and wiring for different vehicles.
