About the Program

The Center for Taxpayer Rights is bringing you training on litigation of innocent spouse issues particularly as these relate to low income taxpayers. The focus will be on the general principles of relief, both at the administrative level and as a litigation matter in the US Tax Court. Topics include understanding the different forms of relief, understanding the law of the administrative record, understanding issues of domestic abuse, and choice of forum.

Her journey led her to San Francisco when she enrolled in UC Law SF (class of 2013), following the attainment of a Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Studies from the University of Florida.

Attorney and Clinical Instructor The Tax Clinic Legal Services Center of Harvard Law School

In 2015, Audrey Patten commenced her journey with the Legal Services Center of Harvard Law School, where she began as an attorney within the Consumer Law Clinic. Here, her role entailed advocating for survivors of domestic violence in matters ranging from debt collections and bankruptcy to affirmative consumer protection cases. Her endeavors formed part of a crucial medical-legal partnership with the Passageway Program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Transitioning within the Center, Audrey assumed a position in the Tax Clinic in 2017, and her dedication led her to becoming a Clinical Instructor for the Tax Clinic in 2018.
