The financial exploitation of older adults comes at a great cost. According to the National Council on Aging, victims lose as much as $36.5 billion each year. However, financial exploitation can be more difficult to detect than physical abuse and neglect because it is often done by family members, trusted friends and caregivers. This program will provide attorneys and other professional advisors with an inside track on the litigation of financial elder abuse cases, including tactics, remedies and lessons learned.
