Maggie Li is the founder of Wumei Law Firm in Guangzhou, China. She has more than 20 years of experience practicing family law, and she is an IAFL member. Her practice focuses on cross-border family disputes between China and the US, including divorce, child custody, asset division and wealth succession planning. She works closely with US attorneys on complex multi-jurisdictional cases.

Dr. Hassan Elhais is a senior legal consultant and internationally engaged legal professional
based in the United Arab Emirates, with approximately two decades of professional experience
in the UAE legal sector. He also serves as the co-chair of the relocation committee in the IAFL.
His career has been principally focused on complex cross-border and private-client matters,

matters, extradition, criminal law, civil and commercial disputes, enforcement proceedings, and

Dr. Karim El Chazli advises courts on the application of Arab and Islamic family laws and writes extensively on comparative private international law.

Konstantinos Rokas is an Athens-based attorney and academic whose practice focuses on private international law, including matrimonial property disputes, international child abduction, and the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments in Greece. He brings both a scholar’s and a practitioner’s perspective to the differences between Greek and California family law.
