Virginia Canter is Chief Ethics Counsel at Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington
(CREW). She joined CREW following a long career in public service. Ms. Canter served as Ethics
Advisor to the International Monetary Fund. Prior to that she served as White House Associate
Counsel under President Obama. Before her latest appointment to the White House, Ms. Canter
was Senior Ethics Counsel for the Department of the Treasury.

Caroline Fredrickson is a Distinguished Visiting Professor from Practice at Georgetown Law and a
Senior Fellow at the Brennan Center for Justice. She served as the President of the American
Constitution Society from 2009-2019. In 2021, she was appointed a member of the President’s
Commission on the Supreme Court of the United States. Ms. Fredrickson is also the leader of the
Progressive Team for the National Constitution Center’s Constitution Drafting Project and a Senior
Congressional Fellow at the Stennis Center.
