About the Program

The new SAG-AFTRA rules and new California and New York laws governing the creation and use of AI “digital replicas” of performers require a new layer of negotiations and precise contract language in talent agreements. The new rules affect the negotiation of name and likeness provisions in performer contracts and also require the negotiation of separate and specific consents for each use of digital replicas. This panel will unpack how replicas work, the new rules, and the negotiation of these provisions.
