Judge Palazuelos joins Judicate West after 24 years of distinguished service on the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Appointed to the bench in 2000, she presided over an individual civil calendar encompassing a wide range of civil matters. Since 2019, she was exclusively assigned to complex civil cases, including mass torts, class actions, and business disputes.
Before her judicial appointment, Judge Palazuelos spent a decade as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Central District of California, where she prosecuted various federal criminal cases. She began her legal career as a litigation associate, defending insurance companies.

Prior to joining Judicate West as a neutral in 2022, Alan spent over twenty years as a big firm litigator handling a variety of disputes from intake to trial. He has expertise in real estate, personal injury, consumer finance, employment, and securities and has litigated a wide variety of complicated business disputes. Since 2018, Alan has been a full-time mediator.
