A broad overview of what attorneys need to know about the effects of alcohol as well as common street and prescription drugs on the body, interpreting drug screens, how alcohol absorption can be delayed or increased, and the connection between drug levels and impairment. There is so much to know about the science behind drug and alcohol-related impairment but this one-hour program will establish useful basic principles.

Before joining Jaffe &Â Clemens, Mr. Lehrer practiced at Morrison Cohen LLP in New York City, handling a wide range of large complex business matters. As a member of the California, New York, and Louisiana State Bars, Mr. Lehrer has successfully prosecuted and defended a wide range of litigation matters in state and federal courts, from trial through appeal, along with various arbitrations. In 2019, Mr. Lehrer completed 40 hours of mediator training through LACBA. Mr. Lehrer is a member of the BHBA Executive Committee for the Litigation Section.
Dr. Allison Muller is a board-certified toxicologist and a Pennsylvania-registered pharmacist, with over 20 years’ experience at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania in teaching, writing, and clinical practice.
