Steve is admitted to practice in California and New York and is a founding partner of Heath Steinbeck, LLP. He practices in state and federal courts nationwide in diverse disputes arising out of investments in aviation, rare diamonds, professional sports leagues, restaurants, corporate malfeasance and self-dealing, asset recovery, green energy, merchant services, fiduciary claims and professional misconduct, fraudulent transfers, securities fraud, liquor licensing, and online media marketing platforms.
In September 2023, he was co-lead counsel in obtaining a $31 million judgment, including $8 million in punitive damages and a permanent injunction, for an aviation company in a fraud and breach of fiduciary duty lawsuit against a former employee following a seven-day bench trial in the San Diego Superior Court.
Steve received his law degree from the University of Durham in the United Kingdom, and moved to the United States in 2003. He obtained a master's degree in International Relations, focusing on International Law and Securities Studies, from the University of Chicago.
