Ambar Chavez is an experienced privacy, regulatory, and product counsel. Currently, she serves as Director, Privacy Counsel at a leading cybersecurity company, where she focuses on AI governance, Product Privacy, and Incident Management and Response and is the privacy business partner to the IT, InfoSec, and Global Customer Support teams. Prior to that, she built and scaled the Global Privacy Program and the Product Counsel function at an online identity verification and fraud prevention platform. Ambar’s ability to tackle a broad range of issues in tech stems from more than a decade of experience in consumer protection, including as a Staff Attorney and Counsel to the Director of the Bureau of Consumer Protection at the Federal Trade Commission and as a Deputy District Attorney for Consumer Protection at the Marin County District Attorney’s Office.
