Berto Aguayo

Berto Aguayo is an Associate at K&L Gates, where he is a member of the IP Procurement and Portfolio Management and Data Protection, Privacy and Security practice groups, advising companies on trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement, brand protection, privacy compliance, and AI-related technology matters. Before practicing law, he founded and led a Chicago nonprofit that empowers youth to become community leaders, supporting more than 700 young people through employment opportunities and civic leadership training. He was named to Crain’s Chicago Business’s 2026 “40 Under Forty” list and as a 2026 Exemplar of the Bar by the Chicago Council of Lawyers.
