Dean Serwin has been practicing law since 1990, specializing in the entertainment industry. A graduate of UCLA Law School, he established his solo law practice in Hollywood in 1994 after gaining extensive legal experience working with a sole practitioner representing platinum artists and serving as head of legal for a film and TV production and distribution company. His background also includes roles at the Directors Guild of America, BMI, and Capitol Records. Dean’s practice serves clients across various sectors, including music, film, video, TV, internet, and distribution. His diverse clientele encompasses record labels, music publishers, recording artists, songwriters, producers, managers, business executives, authors, and clothing companies. In addition to his legal work, he has lectured extensively, sharing his expertise with groups ranging from Art Center film students to Harvard MBA candidates and presenting at California Lawyers for the Arts conferences and The Learning Annex.
