Dedra Curteman is Of Counsel in the Washington, D.C. office of Jackson Lewis, where she defends employers in employment litigation and has particular experience representing government contractors facing False Claims Act allegations and related retaliation claims. She previously served as an Assistant United States Attorney, representing the federal government in employment disputes, and received several Department of Justice awards for that work.
Over 20 years as a litigator, Dedra has appeared in more than 100 cases nationwide and tried federal jury and bench trials as both first and second chair. She focuses on finding the strongest defenses early and helping employers prevent disputes through proactive compliance and counseling. She writes and speaks regularly on False Claims Act retaliation, including what employers should do in the critical hours after a hotline call.
