Presiding Justice Brian S. Currey was appointed to the bench by Governor Brown in 2014 and
elevated to the Court of Appeal in 2018, earning unanimous confirmations and
“exceptionally well qualified” ratings. He chairs the California Civility Task Force and serves on
boards for the California Judges Association and other legal organizations. In his free time, he
enjoys outdoor activities and time with family and friends.
