Kenneth Petrulis is the chair of theMr. Petrulis currently serves as a trustee for private trusts.
Admitted to practice in 1973, Mr. Petrulis retired from his law practice with Goodson, Wachtel and Petrulis in 2019. During his career, he was a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law through the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. He also served as a lecturer and author on topics relating to tax planning and estate administration.
Mr. Petrulis contributed to the legislative process and authored or consulted on several legislative provisions, including Civil Code Section 682.1, Community Property with Right of Survivorship.
He earned his undergraduate degree in Physics from the Illinois Institute of Technology and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois.
As Chair of the Legislative Committee of the Beverly Hills Bar Probate Section (beginning in 1985), he participated in the Law Revision Commission’s overhaul of the Probate Code and in developing legislative proposals in probate, trust, and estate planning. For this work, the Beverly Hills Bar Probate Section received recognition from the California Law Review Commission.
Mr. Petrulis is a former member of the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization and a Past Chair of its Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Commission. He also served on the Executive Committee of the Bench Bar Coalition.
