Maryjane Duquette, RN, BSN, LNC is a registered nurse with over 16 years of experience working in the medical field. Starting her career as a medical assistant in busy outpatient practices, she fell in love with healthcare and the potential good it can do for the lives of the people in our communities.
It was this potential that inspired Maryjane to go back to nursing school. During her 9 years as a nurse she has worked in a level 1 trauma center as a float nurse working on almost all floors of the hospital caring for acutely ill patients. She has also worked in outpatient care, skilled nursing facilities, skilled home heath nursing and currently as an adjunct college professor.
All of this experience has led to a secondary career as a Legal Nurse Consultant, helping attorneys represent their clients in medical-related cases. She acts as an advocate for the medical facts, so attorneys and insurance companies can make sense of the medical facts and determine what the next best step is for their client. It is Maryjane’s philosophy that any medical-related case can and should benefit from having a nurse involved in the process.
