Michael Gold is a partner and Chair of the Cybersecurity & Privacy Group at Jeffer Mangels & Mitchell LLP, where he counsels clients on information security and privacy compliance, supply chain and outsourcing security, AI implementation and governance, data breach response, regulatory matters, and technology contracts. He has helped clients build compliance programs under privacy laws worldwide, including the EU’s GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and other state and sector-specific U.S. regulations. Michael also negotiates technology agreements involving information security and privacy, with particular depth in digital advertising, marketing technology, and emerging security tools, and he represents clients across healthcare, defense, major league sports, accounting, and financial services. His work has earned him repeated recognition, including being named one of California’s “Top Cyber – Artificial Intelligence Lawyers” and “Top Cyber Lawyers” by the Daily Journal, a “Top Lawyer” and “Most Influential Lawyer” by the Los Angeles Business Journal, and a “Top Rated Lawyer in Technology Law” by Martindale Hubbell.
