CCRF is a statewide coalition of more than 40 organizations working to promote sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice. Nakia is an expert on reproductive healthcare and policy in California, with a particular focus on Black, Indigenous, People of Color, and Queer communities. A graduate of the Dr. Beatriz Maria Solís Policy Institute (formerly Women’s Policy Institute at the Women’s Foundation California), they have been an active member and facilitator of multiple Bay Area coalitions and collaboratives, including the Roots of Labor Birth Collective and spent three years as the Director of Oakland’s Health for Oakland’s People and Environment Collaborative.
