Robert J. Sunderland is a full-time mediator with Signature Resolution, bringing more than thirty years of experience in real estate, law, and construction to his practice. Since 2003, he has mediated a wide range of disputes involving residential and commercial real estate, construction defects, professional liability, and brokerage matters. Before joining Signature Resolution, he was managing partner of Sunderland McCutchan, where he represented real estate agents, brokers, mortgage and escrow professionals, contractors, and subcontractors in litigation, arbitration, and mediation throughout California, and more recently represented plaintiffs in real estate and construction matters as well. He has served as an expert witness in developer and construction defect litigation, and as a Special Master drawing on his background as a licensed general contractor to assess causation and deliver forensic analysis and trial testimony.
