Stephanie Espinosa is Assistant General Counsel, Employment-Litigation for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where she leads employment litigation and labor initiatives in support of the hospital’s mission. She partners closely with leaders across the organization to address complex workforce issues, strengthen pay practices and operationalize legal requirements into practical sustainable solutions.
Previously, Stephanie served as Vice President and General Counsel at El Pollo Loco, Inc., where she was a strategic legal advisor across all aspects of the business, including Human Resources, Operations, Risk, and Quality Assurance. She managed all employment litigation and administrative matters, including PAGA, wage and hour, and discrimination claims, and with outside counsel achieved a complete defense verdict in an age discrimination trial in Los Angeles County Superior Court. While at El Pollo Loco, Stephanie led the Risk Department, including all aspects of the insurance program.
Earlier in her career, Stephanie held senior employment law roles at Walgreens and California Pizza Kitchen. She began her legal career as a Labor & Employment associate at Reed Smith LLP.
Stephanie earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School and her B.A from the University of Southern California.
