Your client was arrested over the weekend for domestic violence and is now kicked out of the house, not having any custody with the kids, and is facing criminal charges — what do you advise? In this program, panelists will consider the competing interests of criminal and family law when defending Domestic Violence Restraining Orders.
Moderated by family law and criminal law attorneys and presented by bench officers with experience in both criminal and family law, this Webinar will educate you on how to best defend your client from arrest through trial.
Mr. Eisner has successfully defended clients facing the most serious criminal accusations for over 31 years. He practices criminal defense exclusively, and have been a Certified Specialist in Criminal Law-Certified by the California State Bar’s Board of Legal Specialization – for over 20 years. This designation, and periodic recertification, comes only after demonstrating the highest level of proficiency in criminal defense, extensive litigation of complex and serious cases, and a review of his character and background amongst peers, prosecutors and judges.
Joy Kraft Miles is the President of Kraft Miles, A Law Corporation. Joy began working for her mother at the Law Offices of Marcia Kraft in 1994, when Joy was a receptionist and billing clerk. Since then, Joy has held the positions of office manager, law clerk/paralegal, associate attorney, and partner—she has literally held every position in the firm, working her way from the bottom up, including, at one point, doing the tech support. Prior to acquiring this firm, Joy was a partner of Kraft, Miles & Miller, LLP with her mother Marcia L. Kraft and Lawrence Miller, where she practiced family law and employment law. Joy is a caring and conscientious attorney dedicated to serving clients during their major life transitions, such as marriage, childbirth, death, and divorce. Joy thrives in the courtroom and has long loved the pursuit of social justice. Prior to private practice, Joy clerked for Family Law and Civil Unlimited Court judges in the Los Angeles Superior Court, where she gained insight on viewing cases from a judge’s perspective. Joy is now practicing as a family law certified specialist. The State Bar certifies attorneys as specialists who have gone beyond the standard licensing requirements.
