Phyllis Kupferstein has been serving the legal community for 40 years as a well-known, successful, and nationally recognized employment litigator who has earned a stellar reputation for civility and professionalism. She has been extremely successful in gaining the trust, confidence, and respect of those who have worked with her and against her.

Phyllis specializes in mediating employment related disputes including class actions, wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment, ERISA, PAGA, and wage and hour matters. Her immense civil litigation and trial experience, coupled with her tenacity and determination, makes her the perfect choice to serve as a mediator on complex cases.

Prior to her work as a mediator, Phyllis had an extensive career in employment law. She served as the managing partner of her own law firm and was previously an equity partner at Payne & Fears LLP and at McDermott Will & Emery. Notably, she was a founding member and national director of employment litigation and counseling at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP.
