Morgan Thompson is currently an attorney with Los Angeles Dependency Lawyers, the nation’s largest legal nonprofit dedicating to representing parents in child welfare cases. Morgan has a rich history of working in law, human rights, and policy research. Previously, she served as a Policy and Research Analyst with the Advancement Project California (now Catalyst California), focusing on social justice issues. During their time at UCLA School of Law, she was the Chief Managing Editor of the Pacific Basin Law Journal, further honing their legal expertise. She also has experience as a paralegal defending refugee rights in South Africa and promoting human rights advocacy through organizations like CAST and PASSOP.
