About this program
Before they call you, your clients ask ChatGPT. Those conversations are detailed, timestamped and stored on someone else's servers, and courts are increasingly treating them as discoverable. Anthony D. Storm, CFLS, of Signature Resolution and Evan C. Itzkowitz, CFLS, of Blevans Itzkowitz Cantrell LLP break down five 2026 trial court decisions on AI chat discoverability and map them onto the California Evidence Code, Code of Civil Procedure and Family Code. They then turn that analysis into practical tools: client intake questions, engagement letter language, discovery requests and objections, preservation instructions and protective order strategy. The program also covers admissibility and California's new statutes, including SB 574 and the companion chatbot laws. Attendees will leave knowing how to protect their own clients' AI use and how to pursue the other side's.
