About this program
Most lawyers take depositions to gather information. The best ones take depositions to win trial. Clare Lucich and Cassidy Wakeham of Bentley & More LLP flip the usual approach and start with the jury: which witnesses will you play at trial, when should you depose them, and how do you get the clean soundbites and admissions you need on video?
They’ll cover why an out-of-state witness’s deposition must be trial-ready from the first question, and also flag the traps that leave holes in your presentation, from waived form objections under CCP § 2025.460(b) to the rule of completeness and CACI No. 208.
You’ll leave knowing how to plan, time, and take depositions that play well in front of a jury.
