Kavya R. Dunn is a tax controversy attorney at Latham & Watkins, where she counsels the world’s largest corporations and high-net-worth individuals through high-stakes disputes with tax authorities, covering everything from transfer pricing and international tax to digital assets and criminal tax exposure. Before joining Latham, she clerked for Judge Patrick J. Urda of the US Tax Court and Magistrate Judge Wes Reber Porter of the US District Court for the District of Hawaii, and holds an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center and a J.D. with honors from George Washington University Law School. Outside of her litigation practice, Kavya serves as Vice-Chair of the ABA Tax Section’s Administrative Practice Committee, maintains a pro bono practice representing veterans with disabilities, and is a frequent speaker at national tax conferences.
