Appeals: Should I Stay or Go?
About the Program

When one party wins, can the loser have the judgment or order stayed by simply filing an appeal? Or is something more required, like posting a bond or asking permission from the court? When must a stay be requested from the trial court before the appellate court can issue a stay? The time to think about these things is now, as decisions must be made quickly when a ruling is made and clients want to know what they can do to protect the win or delay the loss. This webinar will explore appellate stays, including a discussion of the special rules for family law actions.
