Alphamorlai “Mo” Kebeh is a 2020 graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law, where he served on the executive board of the Black Law Students Association and as a mentor for the school’s Law Fellows Program.

Gary P. Kohn has practiced entertainment and corporate law for over 30 years, and specializes in Corporation and LLC Structure and Formation; Startup Companies; Corporate Contracts; New Media Content Contracts; Infomercial Marketing and Licensing Contracts; Reality TV Contracts; Celebrity Contracts; and Film, Music, Sports and Entertainment Contracts.  Gary represents celebrities, commercial production companies, post-production and visual effects companies, advertising agencies, new media companies, reality TV personalities, composers, musicians, actors, writers, producers, directors, models, cartoonists, personal managers, business managers, radio personalities and entertainment and music companies.  Gary’s corporate law practice consists of forming LLCs and corporations, structuring business transactions and representing startups, LLCs, corporations and individuals in connection with business-related matters.  Gary has extensive legal, business and marketing experience with numerous hit shows in the direct response industry, and in that industry currently represents, among others:  marketers in agreements with strategic vendors and celebrity talent; producers and directors in infomercial production agreements; inventors in licensing agreements; media companies and fulfillment houses in client services agreements; and celebrities in spokesperson and endorsement agreements.  Many of the contracts that Gary has drafted are now used as standard form templates by marketing and media companies in the direct response industry.  In addition, a former college baseball player, Gary also represents professional athletes.

Robert Honeywell is a partner at the firm’s New York office and a member of the Restructuring and Insolvency practice group. He has more than three decades of experience in bankruptcy litigation and structured finance transactions. His litigation practice centers on New York and Delaware Chapter 11 and 15 bankruptcy cases — with a focus on defending against clawback suits and representing foreign (non-U.S.) creditors in U.S. bankruptcies — and has included appeals before the Southern District of New York and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. His transactions practice includes providing deal structure advice and closing opinions to protect against potential bankruptcy challenges later (for example, for recharacterization, true sale/off-balance-sheet challenges, substantive consolidation, or fraudulent transfer). Special areas of expertise have included representing aircraft lessors and lenders in Chapter 11 cases filed by foreign air carriers in New York (including Avianca, Aeroméxico and LATAM), and representing investment funds and brokerage customers in recovering their assets in broker-dealer bankruptcies (including Lehman Brothers).

Kathy Bazoian Phelps has been a lawyer since 1991 and is currently a partner at Raines Feldman LLP in the Los Angeles office. In addition to individually serving as a fiduciary in certain matters, Kathy practices in the area of insolvency law, fiduciary representation, and fraud litigation, where she represents federal equity and state court receivers and bankruptcy trustees. Kathy frequently serves as special litigation counsel for fiduciaries and interested parties in fraud-related litigation, cases arising out of receivership and bankruptcy as well as parallel criminal and civil forfeiture proceedings. She is particularly knowledgeable about the administration of Ponzi scheme cases and has extensive litigation experience in claims arising in these types of cases.
