Ms. Patton counsels on a wide variety of advertising law issues, including copy and content review, claims substantiation, and compliance with federal, state, and local consumer protection laws and guidelines. She represents advertisers in regulatory investigations and litigation, including before the Federal Trade Commission, and in competitive advertising disputes before the National Advertising Division. She co-authored the USA chapter of Chambers and Partners’ Advertising & Marketing “Law and Practice” guide in 2023-2025.

Prior to joining Frankfurt Kurnit, Ms. Patton was an associate in the Advertising and Marketing Group at Venable LLP, where she represented companies and individuals before the Federal Trade Commission, Department of Justice, and state attorneys general, as well as in private litigation. Her previous legal experience also includes intellectual property counseling and litigation, including before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

As a student at Fordham University School of Law, Ms. Patton was an inaugural member of a first-of-its-kind privacy education program aimed at engaging middle school students in discussions about privacy and technology. She was also Managing Editor of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal. Prior to law school, Ms. Patton worked in marketing communications and government affairs for a leading industry trade association, whose initiatives included advocacy and lobbying efforts in Washington on behalf of business-to-business media companies.

Ms. Patton is admitted to practice in New York and the federal courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Zach advises clients across interactive entertainment, technology, advertising, and media on product and platform issues including consumer-facing terms for online services, games, marketplaces, and digital goods, as well as monetization strategies, rights clearance, and evolving consumer protection and regulatory trends that impact global launches and live ecosystems.

His transactional practice includes drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements including enterprise and SaaS arrangements involving AI/ML, software and content licenses, work-for-hire and services agreements, talent and influencer agreements, and co-promotion and marketing deals. Zach also counsels prominent agencies, brands, platforms, developers, publishers, and individual creative talent on data use rights, IP ownership, AI model training risk, and compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. He has experience preparing internal playbooks, templates, and workflows that help legal and business teams scale contracting efficiently while staying focused on key risk areas.

Zach regularly speaks on emerging legal issues affecting games, advertising, and artificial intelligence through industry programs and CLEs, with topics ranging from AI ethics and play-to-earn gaming to global launch considerations and consumer protection developments.

Before joining Frankfurt Kurnit, Zach served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Anne E. Lazarus, President Judge of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Temple University Beasley School of Law with a full tuition scholarship and served as a Staff Editor of the Temple Law Review. He was recognized by Marquis Who’s Who in America in 2021 for his dedication to the field of law and passion for learning.
