About the Program

This program explores how legal professionals can move beyond general support of the LGBTQ+ community to practice thoughtful, effective allyship in the workplace. Drawing on the presenter’s perspective as an LGBTQ+ attorney and experience supporting LGBTQ+ advocacy organizations, the presentation covers key terminology and highlights practical examples of effective allyship in the workplace. Attendees gain concrete tools to foster more inclusive environments and promote a culture where colleagues feel supported and empowered to be their authentic selves.

Ashlee Difuntorum is an attorney at Kinsella Holley Iser Kump Steinsapir LLP (KHIKS), the preeminent litigation boutique for entertainment, media, music, and IP matters. She handles a wide range of entertainment litigation, including regarding breach of contract, copyright and trademark infringement, and employment claims. Ashlee also leads workplace investigations for companies in response to employee complaints of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. She has also served as outside pro bono counsel to GLAAD, a national organization with a mission to garner full acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community through accurate media representation. Beyond work, Ashlee is active in the community and dedicated to public service and promoting diversity, including by volunteering for LGBTQ+ centers.
