About the Program

In this program, Ligaya Lange, Director of Corporate Outreach for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, Greater Los Angeles County (NAMI GLAC), will share tools to help you prepare before difficult conversations, stay grounded during them, and recover after. From setting healthy boundaries and using neutral language to reframing negative interactions and building long-term resilience, this program offers actionable approaches for managing communication challenges with greater calm and confidence. Attorneys will walk away with techniques to reduce reactivity, preserve professionalism, and prevent others’ stress from becoming their own. Whether you’re facing difficult clients, colleagues, or high-pressure situations, this presentation provides both immediate strategies and long-term practices—helping you protect your mental health while strengthening your effectiveness as an attorney.

NAMI Greater Los Angeles County

Ligaya Lange is the Director of Corporate Outreach for NAMI Greater Los Angeles County, where she leads the StigmaFree Workplace Initiative. In this role, she partners with companies across industries to design and deliver customized mental health and wellness programs that reduce stigma, improve communication, and support employee well-being.

Before entering the nonprofit sector, Ligaya spent over 15 years in corporate entertainment with The Walt Disney Studios, 20th Century Fox, and Deloitte Consulting. This experience in high-pressure environments honed her skills in leadership, communication, and relationship development, which she now leverages to bridge the gap between corporate culture and effective mental health advocacy.

In addition to her professional expertise, Ligaya shares her lived experience with anxiety and perinatal mental health challenges, including postpartum anxiety and OCD. She also hosts Let’s Get Mental, a podcast available on Apple and Spotify, where she explores a wide range of mental health topics and engages in open conversations aimed at education, empowerment, and breaking down stigma.
