Real-world law firm management experiences will be shared to illustrate how leaders can effectively implement these practices.

Kristyn worked as a Human Resources professional in the financial services industry for over a decade before founding Berger HR Solutions. As the Vice President, Sr. Human Resources Business Partner for the Greater Washington Retail Market of M&T Bank, Kristyn partnered with senior business leaders to align people and programs with organizational business goals. Through her work experiences, she recognized a need for strategic Human Resources support among small to mid-sized business owners.
Kristyn has expertise in the areas of performance management, talent development, employee engagement, organization development, consultative employee relations, learning and development, executive managerial coaching and development and full cycle recruitment. She has worked with clients in banking and financial services, technology, professional services, non-profit, retail, construction, and the medical and healthcare industries.
Kristyn holds a Master’s of Business Administration in Organization Development from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the Pennsylvania State University.
Jessica Markham practices all aspects of family law in Maryland and Washington, D.C. She has trial experience in multiple local Maryland counties and in Washington D.C. courts and is also trained in Collaborative Law. Ms. Markham also handles guardianship matters and is frequently appointed by the Court as an attorney for Allegedly Disabled Adults and as Guardian of the Property. Ms. Markham has also been trained as a Guardianship Mediator through the Maryland Judiciary. Ms. Markham has also been appointed by the court in Family Law matters as a Child Privilege attorney and a Best Interest Attorney (formerly Guardian Ad Litem). Ms. Markham has also received extensive training in Business Valuation methods through the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.
